How it all started...

We were founded in 1977 by Apostle Dave and Pastor Vivian Cunningham.  We are the oldest Spirit filled church in the city and we are so grateful that God has allowed us to serve Rancho Cucamonga for over 4 decades!

When we began we were known as Church of the Foothills. While our name may have changed the vision God gave to us over forty years ago has remained the same.
Our vision can be found in Luke 4:18-19: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. ”

Empowered by the Holy Spirit we continue to walk this vision out in all that we do in this summarized Mission statement:
"Connecting people to God and to One Another."

Expanding the vision...

Through the years God has expanded us in our vision to include the nations.  When you enter the sanctuary you will see this phrase prominently on our wall, "Lord, give us the power to impact the nations"  along with many flags hanging from the ceiling.
While God has given us a heart for the Nations we are not a missions organization.  We are a local church with a heart for the nations.
That heart for the local community and the nations has been knit relationally together with other churches (some which have been planted out of RCC) through Rancho International Ministries or RIM.
RIM is a covering to the churches that provides Apostolic leadership  and direction as we move forward in our vision locally and in the nations.

Where we are headed...

Recent events have taught us that we do not know the future, but we have also learned that as we stay committed to what God has said to us then He leads us to the place He wants us to be.
We are committed to the vision God gave to us in 1977.  We live that vision out through the Mission statement and we are committed to raising up a new generation of leaders with the same heart.
As we continue to grow into the vision we know from experience that He will be faithful to grow us, sustain us and allow us to make an impact in our city and in the nations.
We are confident of this, our future is bright!
